Great story Mykal. I love Goofy's humungous bed and gigantic stretch limos (or, rather the way Strobl draws them) Goofy pulling the sled with the lazy dogs riding... gotta love Goofy's indomitable will to be happy.

Lysdexicuss: I love that touch about Dippy Dawg, too! Good on you for knowing your Goofy history. I think my favorite bit of easy to miss stuff was when the girls are clambering for his stamped autograph, and he stamps one of them on the top of the head without noticing! Or when the movie executive says, regarding his name change "No, something with more dignity," and Goofy says, "How about Joe?" while tapping his head (just like the company yes men are tapping their desks - in imitation of the big boss, who is tapping his arm rest!).

Nearly every panel has a little bit of something.

What an EPIC origin story ! Twice as long as that guy from Krypton. It was reallly touching (and funny) when Joe Nobody got an Oscar ahead of poor Goofy... (sniff) This story was probably pretty profound for some kids trying to grasp the concept of what success was. I also love the level of 'positivity' that Goofy brings to the table. He originally appeared as Dippy DAWG (not Dog). Great to see Pegleg Pete as well (with his other leg !) I see what you mean about all the little details, Mykal~ my fave is Goofy in the kitchen with the wheel barrow~ which reminds me~ to make a pot of chilli tomorrow !
